I run a small range of courses in Oxford for people wanting to learn more about using their digital cameras.
I teach 1 or 2 days a week, and bring an understanding of photography that has been developed through 12 years working as a photographer, first in London and now in Oxford. The emphasis is on having fun, learning lots, and shooting lots!

Beginners and Intermediates Courses
The beginners and intermediates courses are all about learning your camera, and learning how to shoot different subjects. We pack lots of learning into each course, but the classes are also relaxed and fun, questions are encouraged, and most importantly you'll be taking lots of pictures as part of each week's shooting assignment.
Class sizes are usually limited to 12 students, which is an essential element of their continued success.
Whilst each course can be taken successfully on its own, they are designed so that a student can immerse themselves in a longer run of quality tuition and shooting.

Monthly Meeting
On the third Monday of every month we have a meet-up at Trinity College, followed by drinks at the pub afterwards. It's open to all, there's an assignment brief for each month, and the emphasis is on having a reason to pick your camera up regularly, and developing your critical faculties. click here
Student Galleries
Since I started teaching in the Summer of 2010, my students have produced some brilliant work. Take a look at a small selection of it here.
Guided Shooting Days
These are an opportunity for a small group of photographers to spend a fun day in an interesting location, carrying out a series of photo assignments. Becoming a better photographer is all about taking lots of pictures, and spending time reviewing them. I'm on hand to offer advice, and we have a review of each other's work to see what we can learn.

"It was an excellent course, with the right balance of theory and practical. Thank you very much for inspiring me and encouraging me to do more!" Lucy G.
